Harrah’s Tunica will be closing on June 2, 2014. While we are working through the details of this news and how it affects our operations we know our customers may have some questions. Below is a list of questions and answers for your reference. We will update these when new questions arise or new answers become available.
Harrah’s Tunica will continue to operate as usual through June 1, 2014.
Question: Why is Harrah’s Tunica closing?
Answer: We reached the decision to close after exploring every other viable alternative. Business levels in Tunica have declined persistently over the last few years and there have been significant increases in competition, particularly in West Memphis. The closure of Harrah’s Tunica is a very painful step, but it is crucial to the lasting health and viability of our remaining operations in the area. While difficult, we believe that appropriately scaling and focusing our presence in the region will preserve jobs over the long-term.
Question: I have a hotel room booked at Harrah’s Tunica; can I still plan on staying overnight?
Answer: Any reservations before June 1 will be honored and you should absolutely plan on staying with us and experiencing the same great hospitality we always provide. Harrah’s Tunica Hotels (Terrace, Veranda, and Casino Tower) will be closed after May 31. If you have a reservation after May 31 unfortunately, we will not be able to honor it. We would invite you to stay at one of our other Total Rewards properties, Horseshoe Tunica or Tunica Roadhouse. Question: I am a Harrah’s Total Rewards® customer. What will happen to my Tier Score® and Rewards Credits®?
Answer: You will keep your Tier Status and Reward Credit balances within the Total Rewards network. Your points will not expire during the transition and can still be used at any of our Total Rewards casinos and resorts nationwide before, during and after the closure, including Horseshoe Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse. You will experience the same level of service and benefits at Horseshoe Tunica and at the Tunica Roadhouse.
Question: How much longer can I earn Reward Credits toward my Total Rewards membership at Harrah’s Tunica?
Answer: You will continue to earn Tier Credits and Reward Credits until the final closure of the property.
Question: How long can I redeem my comps at Harrah’s?
Answer: You can continue to redeem your Reward Credits for comps at Harrah’s Tunica or any other Total Rewards property up to the final transition. You can also redeem your comps at any Total Rewards property including Horseshoe Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse for a period of no fewer than six months following the closure.
To extend the validity of your Reward Credits for Total Rewards, simply earn one Reward Credit at any Caesars Entertainment property every six months or online at the Total Rewards Marketplace. Reward Credits will expire, however, when it has been more than six months since you have earned a Reward Credit.
Question: Do I need to cash out my Reward Credits now or before the closure of the property?
Answer: Absolutely not! Caesars Entertainment will continue to recognize your Tier and Reward Credit balances at Total Rewards properties nationwide including Horseshoe Tunica and the Tunica Roadhouse.
Question: When will the Harrah’s Tunica property close?
Answer: We are anticipating a closure on June 1, 2014.
Question: What will happen to the restaurants at Harrah’s?
Answer: Similar to the casino, the restaurants, hotels, Links at Cottonwoods Golf Course, Willows Sporting Clays and Hunting Center, and Bellissimo Spa will all be closing June 2.
Question: Will I continue to have a Harrah’s host?
Answer: Your host relationship at Harrah’s Tunica will not change through the transition. Between now and June 1, 2014 you will continue to see and work with the same employees you have known during your years of loyalty to the Harrah’s Tunica property. After June 1, 2014 the relationship with your current Harrah’s host will continue at Horseshoe Tunica or the Tunica Roadhouse.
Question: Where are other Caesars Entertainment properties located?
Answer: Caesars Entertainment owns and operates casinos nationwide, including Horseshoe Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse properties, in addition to multiple casinos in Las Vegas including Caesars Palace. For more information on the locations visit www.totalrewards.com
Question: Can I earn and redeem Reward Credits and comps at other Caesars Entertainment locations?
Answer: Yes, Caesars Entertainment’s Total Rewards program is linked across the nation.

Question: What if I have booked a hunt or sporting clays outing at Willows after June 1
Answer: All bookings before June 1 will be honored. Unfortunately, if you have booked an outing after June 1 we will not be able to honor it. Please contact Willows Sporting Clays and Hunting Center at 1-800-946-4946 or 662-357-3154 with any questions regarding a booked Willows outing before June 1, 2014.
Question: What if I have booked a spa appointment after June 1
Answer: All bookings before June 1 will be honored. To check on bookings after June 1 or to confirm availability please contact Bellissimo Spa at 1-800-946-4946.
Question: I have a line of credit at Harrah’s Tunica, how will that be handled?
Answer: If you have an active credit line which is in good standing at Harrah’s Tunica then you can request to transfer your line to the Horseshoe Tunica or Tunica Roadhouse. After requesting the transfer all you will need to do to activate your line is stop by the cashier to verify and sign the pre-printed application and present your ID for verification.
